A Full-Service Law Firm, Putting Clients First Since 1953
Since its founding, Laputka, Bayless, Ecker & Cohn, PC, has maintained a wide-ranging general practice. The firm was founded as a partnership in 1953 by Theodore R. Laputka, Sr., Kenneth R. Bayless, Bartel E. Ecker and Martin D. Cohn, and incorporated as a professional corporation in 1973.
Six decades later, our Hazleton, Pennsylvania-based lawyers and professional support staff carry on our tradition of legal excellence and outstanding client service every working day. Within our wide-ranging practice, each of our attorneys focuses on select areas of law. Our core practice areas include workers’ compensation and personal injury claims, as well as business and real estate transactions and litigation, employment negotiations and disputes, estate planning and probate.
Rely On Our Lawyers for Proactive Counsel and Aggressive Representation
Whether you are planning for the future, preparing to complete a transaction or facing a pivotal legal problem such as the denial of your workers’ comp, Social Security Disability or personal injury-causing accident claim, we are big believers in preventive law. We help clients take proactive steps before serious conflicts arise or intervene to address problems before they get worse.
When legal conflicts do emerge, we position clients for timely and cost-effective resolution. However, we always prepare for the possibility of litigation, and our attorneys will press your case aggressively or defend your interests in court if that is the best path to a just outcome.
