Pennsylvania widow may seek punitive damages in lawsuit

A U.S. District judge for Pennsylvania ruled that a punitive damage claim may be filed in a lawsuit involving a City of Philadelphia worker who died on the job. The worker's widow is suing the city and the manufacturer of the ladder that her husband was using when she fell.

1 hurt, 1 missing after Pennsylvania gas well explosion

One worker is missing and another is injured after an explosion ripped through a Pennsylvania gas well on Feb. 11. The explosion triggered an intense fire, and first responders at the scene were beaten back by the flames. The workplace accident occurred at about 7 a.m. near Bobtown in Greene County.

Pennsylvania factory explosion results in injuries, death

On Jan. 31, an explosion at a factory in St. Mary's resulted in the death of one individual and injuries to two others. The workplace injury incident occurred in the morning at a carbon and graphite manufacturing facility on Trout Run Road, and sources state that the explosion may have been caused by equipment used in the facility.
