Born: February 5, 1942, Hazleton, Pennsylvania.

Married to the former Barbara Jarick, a Certified Public Accountant.

The father of two children, a daughter who is a physician in the Philadelphia area and a son, a marketing executive, in Washington, D.C.

EMPLOYMENT

Managing Partner in the Law Firm of Laputka, Bayless, Ecker & Cohn, P.C., 1995-- Present; Principal in the Law Firm of Laputka, Bayless, Ecker & Cohn, P.C., 1973 - Present; with an extensive practice in the field of workers’ compensation and occupational disease for over 30 years, including litigation before the Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court; the Pennsylvania Supreme Court; the United States District Court and the United States Court of Appeals. Has lectured extensively in workers’ compensation matters on behalf of the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the American Bar Association and is the author of numerous articles dealing with workers’ compensation issues which have been published statewide and is listed in Who’s Who in American Law.
