Bart E. Ecker Has Been Selected As A 2013 Super Lawyer

Attorney Bart E. Ecker, Esquire, of Laputka, Bayless, Ecker & Cohn, P.C., was again selected as one of Pennsylvania’s Super Lawyers. Attorney Ecker was selected for his recognition in the field of Workers’ Compensation by other Pennsylvania attorneys who were asked to name the best lawyers they have personally observed in action. Only 5% of attorneys in Pennsylvania are classified as Super Lawyers and, of this group, 74% of the attorneys practice in either Philadelphia or Pittsburgh. He is certified as a specialist in the practice of Workers’ Compensation Law by the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Section on Workers’ Compensation Law as authorized by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.

Attorney Ecker has an extensive practice in the field of Workers’ Compensation and Occupational Disease for over 30 years, including litigation before the Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court; the Pennsylvania Supreme Court; the United States District Court and the United States Court of Appeals. He has lectured extensively in workers’ compensation matters on behalf of the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the American Bar Association and is the author of numerous articles dealing with workers’ compensation issues.

Atty. Ecker served as Vice Chairman, 1985 to 1993, and Chairman, 1993 to 1997 of the Workers’ Compensation Committee, American Bar Association, General Practice Section.

He was a Council Member, Pennsylvania Bar Association, Workers’ Compensation Section.
